R. A. Frick III grew up as a Navy brat. In high school, he earned his 3rd degree black belt from the American Taekwondo Association. He later graduated from the University of North Carolina, Wilmington with a BFA in Creative Writing and a minor in History. He resides in Wilmington, NC, and is working on a novel or two.
